Welcome to RB Toastmasters!

Rancho Bernardo (RB) Toastmasters is one of San Diego's leading clubs. Our members are largely from the local San Diego communities around Rancho Bernardo and the cities of Poway and Escondido. We are a diverse and welcoming club with members of all ages, professions, speaking abilities and many different nationalities.

Why Join a Toastmasters Club?

Confident speaker and charismatic leaders weren't born that way. As a member of Toastmasters International, you will become the speaker and leader you want to be. You will learn to express yourself with confidence, influence others and respond effectively even when under pressure. You will also strengthen your resume and meet people from all over the world.

Join us Thursday mornings from 7:00 to 8:30 and see for yourself how Toastmasters offers one of the world's best and most affordable programs for learning public speaking and enhancing your professional and personal communication skills. You will see how we accomplish this in a fun and supportive environment while forging new friendships and being exposed to the experiences and ideas of others. From beginner to advanced speaker, everyone at RB Toastmasters feels welcomed and valued.

It's easy to observe our meeting - just show up! You may just sit and listen, or optionally answer a conversational question.

How Does It Work?

In a typical club meeting you practice giving prepared speeches or brief impromptu speeches, known as Table Topics. There is no formal instructor; members learn by doing and by receiving constructive feedback from one another on their prepared presentations.

Toastmasters allows you to progress through the program at your own pace. Our club also has a Mentor Program to help new members gain confidence and learn the fundamentals under the guidance of a supportive and experienced club member. Once you become proficient at the basics, you will learn more advanced speaking skills, specializing in the areas of your choosing. Some popular choices include: The Entertaining Speaker, Speaking to Inform, Technical Presentations and Public Relations.
